Lead templates by industry
Lead templates by industry: energy, real estate, health, trades, insurance, investing, B2B. The right fields in one click.
Not sure which questions to ask your prospects? Lead templates by industry fill in the list of fields to collect for you, with the information a professional in your trade needs to call a customer back.
Apply a template
- Open your chatbot's Lead capture section (step 3, Leads, when creating it, or the Leads tab after clicking Edit).
- In the Start from an industry template… list, choose your industry.
- Click Apply.
- If fields already exist, confirm that you want to replace them.
- Adjust if needed, then save.
Field names are written in the chatbot's language (English, French, Spanish or Hebrew). If the language is set to Automatic, they appear in English. The technical identifiers (name, phone, postal_code…) always stay in English, so your exports and your CRM always keep the same columns.
The General template is available on every plan. Industry templates use choice lists and numbers: they are reserved for the Growth, Pro and Scale plans, and for the free trial.
Available templates
Each template starts with the full name, phone and email, then adds the questions specific to the industry:
- General: request (free text). Name, email and phone are required.
- Renewable energy: postal code, project type (solar panels, heat pump, insulation, other), housing type, owner or tenant, monthly energy bill.
- Real estate: project (buy, sell, rent, valuation), city or area, property type, budget, project timeline.
- Health & clinics: appointment type, availability, new patient (yes/no).
- Home services & trades: postal code, type of work, project timeline, budget.
- Insurance: policy type (car, home, health, mortgage, life, business), current policy renewal date.
- Investing: main goal, amount considered, experience, investment horizon.
- B2B services: company, job title, company size, need.
In most templates, the phone is required and the email optional: it's often the fastest way to call a prospect back.
The special case of health
The Health & clinics template deliberately asks for no medical information (symptoms, treatment, condition). Under the GDPR, this data is called "sensitive". The template sticks to what your front desk needs to call the patient back.
If you add your own fields, avoid asking for health data in the chatbot. Keep those conversations for the appointment.
Adapt a template to your business
A template is a starting point. After applying it, you can:
- rename a field to match your own wording;
- change the choices of a list (for example add "EV charger" to the project types);
- tick or untick Required;
- remove questions you don't need, or add some with Add a field.
Think about your instructions too. Tell the chatbot what this information is for ("to send you a quote within 48 hours"): visitors share it more willingly when they understand why.
