The 7-day free trial
The 7-day free trial with no credit card: Growth plan features, 100 replies, email reminders and what happens when it ends.
Every new ScanChat AI account gets a 7-day free trial, with no credit card. You can create your chatbot, install it on your website and receive your first leads before choosing a plan.
What the free trial includes
- Growth plan features: up to 10 lead capture fields, industry templates, advanced fields and an email alert for every new lead.
- Up to 100 replies from your chatbot to your visitors.
- Up to 3 chatbots.
- 7 days from activation.
The trial uses the AI included option: no API key to set up.
Sending leads to a CRM (Zapier, Make) is not included in the trial: it's reserved for the Pro and Scale plans. See Plans and limits.
How to start the trial
There's nothing to do. The trial starts automatically the first time you open the dashboard after you sign up. No credit card is required.
During the trial, a banner at the top of the dashboard shows the days you have left and your reply limit, with a Choose a plan button.
The free trial is granted only once per email address. It isn't offered if your account already had a subscription.
Email reminders
So you're never caught off guard, you receive two emails:
- Two days before the end: "Only 2 days left in your free trial", with the end date and a link to choose your plan.
- When the trial ends: "Your free trial has ended", with a link to reactivate your chatbot.
These emails aren't sent if you've already subscribed to a plan.
What happens when the trial ends
After the 7 days (or once the 100 replies are used), your chatbot stops answering your visitors. Once the 7 days are over, the dashboard banner tells you that your chatbot is paused.
Nothing is deleted:
- your chatbots and their settings are kept;
- your leads and conversations remain available in the dashboard.
To reactivate your chatbot, choose a plan on the Billing page. It answers again as soon as the payment is confirmed. You don't need to reinstall the script on your website.
Upgrade to a paid plan during the trial
You can subscribe at any time, without waiting for the trial to end:
- Open Billing.
- Choose Monthly or Yearly, then click Get Started under the plan you want.
- Pay by card or with PayPal (see Payment and invoices).
Your paid plan replaces the trial immediately. Your chatbots are linked to it automatically, and the replies used during the trial don't count against your new allowance.
