Test your chatbot and improve its answers
Ask your customers' questions, correct an answer in one click and fill in what the chatbot doesn't know yet.
Before announcing your chatbot, take ten minutes to test it the way a visitor would. It's the best way to get accurate answers from the very first conversations.
Test the chatbot
- Open My chatbots and click your chatbot.
- Click Test Chatbot at the top of the page.
- Ask the questions your customers ask you most often: prices, lead times, service area, opening hours, warranties…
Also try tricky questions: an off-topic question, a request for an exact price, a question in another language. The chatbot should stay polite and honest, and offer to take the visitor's contact details when it doesn't know.
Correct an answer
If an answer is wrong or incomplete, correct it directly:
- Open Conversations and select the conversation.
- Under the chatbot's answer, click Make Correction.
- Write the right answer, then click Save.
The chatbot takes your corrections into account for the next questions.
Fill in what the chatbot doesn't know
When some information is missing, the chatbot doesn't make it up. Two ways to give it:
- Add it to your instructions: best for short information (starting prices, service area, average lead time…). See Writing good instructions.
- Add a document: best for long information (catalog, terms, FAQ…). See Knowledge base.
The Statistics page analyses your visitors' questions and lists the ones the chatbot couldn't answer, with a suggestion of what to add.
Check lead capture
Run a full test like a real prospect: give a test name, email and phone number. Then check that the lead appears in Leads and that you receive the email alert.
